There is a keybind that resets your HMD position. Once its set, any motion will move you relative to the game - until you reset HMD position again.
Try F12
F-12 is the best option. Annoying, but your best option.
If you have voice attack, you can get it to press F12 when you say "Reset View", so you don't have to be near a keyboard.
As the other said - reset the view. Bind to a key you can easily hit with the HMD on. And BTW: you can 'reset' the position after starting the game, in the Main Menu - before actually playing. So no need to mess around while leaving the station.

Hello lovely devs! This suggestion is based on some major assumptions, but it would be great if it were possible. Initial Assumptions: That the stereoscopic render used for ships & SRVs in EDO functions in Legs mode. That the 2D screen mode for Legs can be set to toggle on or off...
For VR Voice Attack works great, I wouldn't do VR with out using it.
Also look at HCS voice packs for Voice Attack, you can control almost everything on your ship with voice commands.
HCS actually goes way past just ship commands, it can give you all kinds of information outside of the game like constellation and scientific info.

Can be bound to any HOTAS button.
