VR request on PS4

VR request on PS4

Hi CMDT, this is a call for FD to make a final effort to make the Playstation 4 version compatible with its VR headset.

The reasons are simple and few, two:
1- NMS and other games have shown that it is possible to show complex graphics.
2- Game on PC with a GForce 760 card and a DK2, the immersion they give me I prefer to see it on the monitor at 1080.

I don't know how to get this request to the people of FD, I hope they read it.

To support this initiative, let each CMDT leave a comment that says: I ALSO SUPPORT IT!

I hope this thread reaches the people of FD to tell us if they are or are planning to make it compatible and if it is not possible to do so, it will give us a valid and well argued explanation.

Thank you very much to all who support it.
Regards.

Before you try to make yet another post re-read the real topic link yet again from actual search...
Nothing has change the cobra engine is still a lump of junk..
the down grade required like No mans sky was "forced" to do to break the graphics quality on basic PS4 and make the game look even more rubbish but to get the 60fps would get frontier laughed at in all media and press... Its not going to be good PR and that will kill share holders prices and that is what actualy matter...
you can not still remove the APU rom the base PS4 and add a completely different one its not going to ever happen and your not going to get VR on the game...

As nice as it would be to have VR on PS4, I doubt it'll happen soon:

a) The majority of the Frontier development team are focussing on the upcoming Elite changes
b) It is very hard to justify a bespoke PS4 development if there isn't the user base demanding it (yes I know it is a circular argument)
c) Frontier have previously suggested / inferred that either them or Sony weren't happy with the quality / fIdelity so weren't happy for it to be released (although I can't find a source for that statement)
d) It might be something that can come with PS5 and it's increased processing power but as their launch announcement pushed their new haptic controller rather than VR, it looks like PSVR may become a niche item (like the PS4 bongos, fishing rod or guiter controllers)

The PSVR uses ps3 move controllers so three years after it's launch, it is built on the back of some very old base tech. If it hasn't got enough traction to be mainstream by now then it probably wont happen as we move into the new era.

shame - it would have been nice.

With other games on psvr like nms and eve valkyrie and a few small others i think it could work on psvr but it lose graphic quality. Wouldnt stop me from playin it though
