VR with Glasses

I've been actively following VR on here, waiting on the sidelines for now as I have some questions. But, in the mean time, does anyone wear glasses with them? If so can I get a PIREP? Thank you in advance.

I wear glasses under the Oculus DK2 (using the default lense cups). For me it's just as comfortable as without. I also have contact lenses but usually I don't bother to put them in just for the DK2.
The frame of my glasses has relatively flexible temples, that might help making it more comfortable.

You need to be careful though to avoid your glasses touching the lenses of the DK2. I got some minor scratches on both the DK2 and my glasses because of that. So best move the eye relief all the way out and make sure your glasses are sitting as far up on your nose as possible.

Glasses should be just fine however the dev kits did some with different lenses to help short sighted/long sighted. Not sure if this carries through to the consumer version.

The reports I read from the recent CES show was that both the Rift and Vive were fine with glasses though obviously it may affect the FOV slightly.

It all depends on the size of the glasses. Oculus have said that they will release different front bits for the rift to accommodate large glasses in future so there's that to look forward to if you use big glasses. Depending on your level of sight you could always just take them off.

Well now I need to buy a new computer (potentially, as I run Windows 10 on a late 2013 iMac), buy the VR machine (waiting to see which one works with elite), and potentially new glasses. So I'm expecting to spend between $3k-$5k, which I'm ok with, but, I'm not willing to be an early adapter, YET. This is all so I can play elite in VR, and people complain about the $50 USD they spend on each seasons, so $100.

This will be more expensive than SWTOR which cost me the game, subscription, and a new gaming lap top!
