Ships Vulture Vulture appreciation thread?

Searched a bit but don't seems have one.

I have been fly with this noob pve build for a week or 2. LOVE it. It matched my lazy play style very very well, just a single fire group and pew all the way down! Just need to know when to high wake off, take a break then pew again, PROFIT! Easy CRs in HI-RES. :cool:

I have not started engineer grinding yet.
 
I've used an unengineered vulture extensively, so I can make a couple of comments. Firstly, I think you'll find biweave shields much better because of their faster regeneration. Secondly, you need at least two large module reinforcements to prevent your canopy getting blown out. Finally, you can get more fire power by fitting burst lasers. For that you have to downgrade the thrusters to 5C, but they're still good enough.

For all enemies the size of an Asp upwards except FDL and Assault ship, always target the power plant to speed up kills. You have to shoot the ship at right angles to its length to damage the PP, which is easy on an Asp, Python,Gunship and Anaconda.

 
There's no such thread because we Vulture-pilots don't need to pose around with our op ships. We just go out and make things go BOOM. :cool:;)

Years ago the Vulture threads were plenty.
It’s always been my favorite ship.

most of my grinding has been in one. The Challenger and FAS have almost comparable flight characteristics and better armaments. But the Vulture just feels better, is smaller and have just as good shields.

I generally prefer small ships.

You can do alot with it just by switching a few modules - sightseeing missions, courier and off course assassinations. I once took down 2 dangerous federal corvettes in a 2v1 mission - a very protracted fight, but I actually managed and came out victorious.

the only weakness in combat is the overall dps if a target with high shiels (like anaconda) spams shield cell banks
 
Can't find the link now, but my Vulture is my favorite ship. If you like small and agile ships, it's the one with the most firepower, it can take anything. My fighter chain is Viper, Vulture, Fas, Corvette, but nothing is more fun to fight in other than the Vulture.

Depending on what I want to do, mine has either 2 multicannons, or 2 beam lasers. The lasers take longer to kill big ships, but they never have to rearm..
 
Me desperately waiting FDEV to get dweller fixed.... I have modded the PP, Thruster, FSD, Shield generator & booster... not to G5 yet, but yes, engineering make difference.

Still thinking whether I should get efficient or long range lazors.
 
The Vulture is a brawler, with the speed and agility to get in close and stay there. IMO long range would be a waste of a good ship.
The Vulture is build to get close and personal! I love her, especially with oversized incendiary frags! :love:
 
Are overcharged C3 Multis with Incendiary rounds and good on a vulture?
As the others respond… - mind you while 2 multis with incindiary burn through shields pretty quickly, they’re less ideal when dealing with the hull.
A multi with incindiary + a multi with corrosive is a good match
 
Started engineering on this little beast. Putting a long range thermal vent beam + double shot corrosive frag on it is much a joy to fly!!! Shooting the beam on large ships always froze my cocpkit 🥶
