Ships Vulture Engineered for PVP

I am currently going double shot on frags, but I don't know how else to engineer. I hear thermal, but then I also hear I should get rid of the double shot and go overcharged (I think?).

I am currently also running armored on my power plant but I don't know if I should go for something else?

Thank you, loving the vulture!

Here's my toy Vulture. Very fun at CNB's (PVE).
If you can time and land the shots right, it will
pop Elite Anacondas in minutes. It's not even all G5.
Not sure how she'll do in PVP but do let me know once you find out 😄
X.

I doubt you can run Low Emissions on the PP, as the Vulture is ally power hungry. So with that in mind, Armored is the best if you can run it, but even that is not enough for a lot of builds. For instance I have to run overcharged on mine (in that case, use the lowest that allows you to run what you need). Here's the build for reference: https://s.orbis.zone/6071 .

Thank you for this. I noticed in the build you have some stuff disabled or unable to run due to not having enough power. I tried playing with G3 overcharged and it gave 99% with cargo and fuel scoop turned off.

Right, I was messing with it a bit in Coriolis to see what the lowest graded overcharged was required to make the build run and actually left it on 2.

It's supposed to be 3 with scoop and cargo off, exactly as you said. You could go overcharged 4 and not have to worry about any of that, but I prefer having better thermal efficiency.

A good way to reduce power requirements significantly is to E rate shield boosters. Especially resistance is barely affected at all by this.

For example only E rating Braddux27 boosters would allow switching to Armoured PP and a weight saving of over 20T. The shields naturally do take a hit, going from 2k to 1.5k. That's where choices come to play.

Here's something like I plan on my loadout:

I have and enjoy using OC pacifiers, but they run out of ammo faster than I prefer. For Frag cannon engineering, you are essentially picking between using more shots (double shot, rapid fire) or doing more damage/shot (OC). I prefer the latter. Note that High-cap does have higher total damage before empty, at the "cost" of higher restock cost and slower burst than OC.
