Vulture hot mess and I love it

Vulture is powerful. It is also hot mess if you add powerful weapons and power distribution becomes "a thing" I didn't see before on Cobra MkIII. But OMG it melts everything away in proper configuration. So different feel from other early ships. Lazor galore.

The Vulture was great before, but when you add some engineering love it really starts to shine.

You can dish it out and actually tank damage pretty reliably. I love the large ships (Conda/Vette) but sometimes you just want to get into a Vulture and zip around like a madman.

It's a fun ship. [big grin]

The amount of jitter on inertial impact is pretty hilarious. It makes sense you'd want to use it with short range.

Oh yeah, it's absurd. Paired with short range modding gives you a total 162% damage bonus over stock, though. Not a practical weapon, but certainly an amusing one.

Being a "hot" mess actually works in one's favor when running thermal conduit on twin beams :D

after engineers update, i think vulture is best start fighter ship. Two large fixed weapons and you are good to go.

Actually, in the overall hierarchy I'm pretty sure that the Vulture was more powerful and balanced relative to other ships before the Engineers update. Sure, it's much easier to outfit it now, but the small number of hardpoints means you can't get as many special effects on there as, say, the FDL or the FxS (or, more recently, the Chieftain). That hobbles it quite a bit. Before Engineers, it was hard to outfit, and impossible to A-rate, but still incredibly powerful due to its agility advantage over everything but the Eagle.

As a general rule...before Engineers, I was smashing FDLs and Condas in PvP. After Engineers...FDLs and Condas smash me.

I don't think it's really Engineers that broke the Vulture, it's the special effects ruining balance. Naturally, though, FDev's solution to this is to add more of them to fix the problem :D

i am running a pair of G5 overcharged APAs on my Vulture

How do you find the heat and capacitor drain with those? I've got another 3 weeks to unlock them.
I'm currently running dual pacifiers, which is fun, and nicely low power draw, but I'm planning to go dual APA, or maybe 1 APA and 1 pacifier.

I may still suck at combat, but after getting my first Vulture at the weekend I realise it was the ship that was holding me back.

Not fully engineered by any means (and no modded weaponry) and I'm already successfully taking on ships that I’d avoided or failed miserably at dispatching before.

Some may think she’s ugly, but I’m a little bit in love.

She was really the first ship that really clicked with me after the Eagle. I loved this ship but moved onto the FAS. The FAS is my favorite ship bar none, but the Vulture is a close second.

The vulture is a flat out awesome ship with engineer tuning. Always had great fun doing elite assassinations in a vulture.

It's my CZ weapon of choice. I kind of miss the oldendays of trying to squeeze every last bit of performance out of it pre-Engi; it's a lot easier to push the frame's abilities with current methods.
