Vulture is the new Asp

I remember before the game launched, being really excited at the prospect of flying an Asp as a dedicated exploration vessel. Then the game launched and *boom* Enter the Asp. Everybody clamoured for one. Threads about Asps everywhere.

* My Asp will smash urr face in
* How my ASP will eat your Eagle
* My Asp loadout ... Blinds or net curtains for the cockpit
* I love my Asp more than my wife ... and it loves me back

The Asp become common as muck, so I thought, I'll go for the Vulture when that comes out. Nobody will want a ship with two hard points.

*boom*

* My Vulture is my life
* Vulture pwns all ... make me leet.
* Should I eat beans in my Vulture cockpit or celery?
* I cried when my Vulture died

Vultures are now more common than starlings ... and a damn site more lethal.

On the plus side, at least the Asp isn't the 'it' ship any more. *buys Asp*

I fly an Asp but I am thinking about a Vulture.

In much the same way as I was thinking about a Viper when I was flying a Cobra.

I never made the change though. Not yet anyway.

I dont see the vulture replacing the ASP at all.. the ASP is for exploring.. sure it was capable of combat but it was never the best at it..

The vulture, even basicaly empty is a little more then 1/2 the FSD range of the ASP.. i wouldnt go exploring with something that can only do 18LY

My ASP was a great combat/bounty-hunting vessel, but it doesn't hold a candle to what my Vulture can do in that role. I've kept the ASP for all my exploration and trading needs, and have finally earned enough money to keep both ships fully outfitted :-D

Take the Asp out into the black and you'll see what it was designed to do. You wouldn't take a Vulture on a proper exploration trip.

I bought an Asp and a Vulture, but smashed both into the station walls in a display of conspicuous consumption to protest against The Man and the cultural requirement to judge a persons value by their property.

I fly a Cobra, I eat Jaffa Cakes, and if you want a Revolution I have a T-shirt to sell to you.

vulture is the new viper, just about twice as powerful and more maneuverable, what did you expect : )

at least we wont see that much threads "my viper [vulture] don't have chance vs player pythons [or insert other expensive ship name here] 1vs1, nerf them!" anymore since it has insane firepower for that price tag =p

It's not though is it? I accept that the Asp is to the Vulture what the Cobra is to the Viper maybe but the Vulture is not the new Viper on account of the mahoosive difference in price.
