Vulture

I think the C3 gimballed burst laser do more damage or at least it seems they do to me, I have a couple of c3 gimballed beams but you would have to disable them to use the kws and also retract them to fire chaffs which can be interesting.

If condas or pythons start shooting you its better to run, with the beams you can hit hard and boost away.

I have voice attack to switch pips from the joystick as the the voice recognition is not that good, with one press switch 4 pips to weapons/systems/engines.

Aim for the powerplant. :D

Depends on how much effort you want to go to. I run with a more general purpose loadout but it requires some effort on the power management side, both initial setup and in-fight.

It also depends on if you think "better" means more firepower, more shields, more hull, or what.

Burst lasers do more damage to shields than pulse.
However pulse are not far behind and do more damage to hull than burst.
Overall kill time should be less with pulse and you don't need full pips to wpns for it.

With all the tankiness you have I'd say go with fixed wpns. Vulture will perform well with fixed.
When you feel you can drop some tankiness try a fixed beam for shields and fixed pulse for hull. (cos no ammo needed).

When I speak of better, it was about killing ships. As it is my vulture works allright just under the 15.6 MJ from the powerplant. And in the last killing zone of BV phoenicis I make more than 9 millions cred in bonds.
