W+T back to stupid values?

Any players noticing increased W+T? I just paid mine off, flew one short supercruise (250ls) and it was back up to almost 1000 credits. That's almost gamma levels of W+T.

Got a Vulture an hour ago and kitted it out about mid-range. After about a dozen AI kills testing it at a Nav Beacon I come back to the station, with 948cr repair bill and 20,000cr integrity repair. As other threads have said, it is heat damage to modules that happens first now rather than hull. You can see the % health on the Modules UI panel (don't be fooled if the hull integrity stays at 100%, if you see sparks and smoke and the lady warns you, damage is happening to modules but you can see it). I am not sure if 20,000cr is high or low for the Vulture as only just got it, but it feels a bit steep, all modules were between 90 and 99% except the chaff launcher which was at 75% for some reason, maybe it took a direct hit.

An hour for 20,000 credits seems very high. My Python used to have 20,000 credits every couple days of playing 2 or 3 hours. I think. I pay it off frequently.

Yeah, W&T has definitely gone up a lot. I parked my clipper pre patch only requiring 1% W&T repair which was about 6k, I logged in after the patch to suddenly find that bill had rocketed to 14k! :(

In beta build 4, W&T after interdiction damage was 10x the repair cost for the Python.
In 1.2 release, W&T on a well equipped Cobra after interdiction damage is equal to or slightly lower than repair cost.
I thought this was fixed between build 4 and release, but now it seems that bigger ships are still suffering from extreme W&T cost. That would be disappointing...

This is garbage. The W&T costs have gone up 10x (literally, I'm not guessing here).

I left 1.1 with a W&T bill of about 4200 credits and upon loading 1.2 it became 42,000.

I paid it and went one round trip in my trade route, for a total SC travel of about 400 ls, and I have almost a 5,000 credit W&T tab.

Something's not right, I checked again at another port without fixing the previous damage and it was around 80k this time still at 99%. Then when I checked again later it reached 98% and costs 109k! :S

Noticed that as well. Yesterday 1% W&T was arround 3K for my Conda and i thought "Yay, that thing you could even take out for exploration" (not that i actually would do that). Today, 1% was 50K and all i changed was adding two shield boosters. Nothing i can handle, but there is an increase. Maybe something to counter the reduced repair costs a bit.

I also think something is wrong.

I took my Asp for a ride for a little more than one hour, and my W&T is nearing 10K.

Its intentional, use some common sense

they decrease hull damage and the rest.

Wear and tear goes up BUT its something that can be repaired by other means, namely the maintence bot. Its an incentive to carry one around more often. If you really cant afford the cost then buy one, repair and sell it back and accept the cost of the ammo. You now repair on the fly to reduce your sit down repair costs.

Atleast for me, this is how i see it. They've taken a similair approach to it like they did fuel, rather than just run out and drop a "gimme fuel beacon" that costs load, you fuel scoop. W+T has been made into the same situation.

Wait...so the repair bots can repair Ship Integrity?

Wear and Tear caps out at 30% weaker hull, so it's nothing too terrible. Probably just a money sink to compensate for lower repair costs. Although it kinda doesn't make sense given that the point of reducing w+t was to reduce overall running costs...and this does the opposite.

What, where can I get a maintenance bot??

By the way, the Ship Integrity repair costs differ from station to station in 1.2

So be careful where you do maintenance on your ship.

Actually I start to like that idea...
