i've seen many suggestions, and they all just sounded so familiar to my childhood's game i absolutely loved. the quirky, cynical, and persisent living universe of that "little" game by a small russian studio is up to this day a benchmark of my space sim experiences. x3? pfff. there was nothing as perfected and immersive as traveling and doing little jobs in that universe that was constantly changing. going to jail, even small planetary text stories. every place felt alive, even though it was all npcs? ever since i dreamt of a multiplayer space sim like it, and elite seems to be the closest. but yeah, if they want inspiration for the aliens - please, please please, make them work like they did in that game. because i remember how much of a gem the meta was in that game, just because of the constant threat of the robotic ayyliens which also had the best loot in the game. i remember the chills, oh the memories! one minute you'd shoot flyby comets, just to run the hell away 10 seconds later praying to the rng gods the system authorities will hold off the attack long enough so that the civilians can evacuate.
the updates have been amazing so far, and i believe with the things that are yet to arrive we will see the game getting better and better, but i really would love to see this game fully realizing that childhood dream i so eagerly funded with all my money back in the premium beta, and trust me 120 euros arent easy to obtain here.
so, any of you guys here played that game?
