Wait... What? Faction Gives Alternative Branch on Mission of Same Faction.

So I took a Hunter-Kill Mission to kill Bounty Hunters in Sobek. I got a green dude in a USS to tell me to kill Pirates instead.

The weird thing was, the original contract for the bounty hunters was issued by the Alioth Independents, and the guy giving me a different branch was also an Alioth Independent, and turning the quest in is giving it, again, to the Alioth Independents, but instead of gaining reputation with them, I lose it.

None of the bounty hunters before or after counted for the mission, either, which I've never encountered before killing people trying to collect the bounty on my own head. The pirates were no problem, though.

I see your Both from Same Faction bug and raise you a Branched Mission Description is "Kill for Silver Gang", but the pilot offering you the alt job is allied to the opposing Blue Creative Industries Faction bug! :p

Related: the incentive for betraying your original client really should be *much* higher. Most people will not be willing to lose the rep they are trying so hard to gain for a few hundred credits.

I had a bug where I turned in the mission I picked up to the original faction but got the outcome I would have received if I went to the alternate location. It's especially annoying when I'm doing missions that require checking out USS because I seem to always get the encounter with the alternate faction offer immediately. Helping anarchy factions is hard enough when they want me to find toxic waste for the vast majority of their missions.
