I am not playing until the new version of one of two of the supporting apps is completed because I think the game is incomplete without it. However... One of my BIGGEST issues playing the game has been my PC itself. In my move from Sweden -> UK -> Sweden the fan on my CPU broke off it's mounting and became less than a clean fit... The effect being the thermal paste became dust and the system massively overheated... So I opened the case and played that way but always had issues... then the other 2 case fans blew out and the machine started whimpering...
Sooo.. I have added a joystick (Thrustmaster T16000M, because I am left handed and my right is paralyzed from stroke), 16GB of RAM (bringing it up to 24GB), a 2nd video card to act as a Phyx processor (I already have the GTX 970, I added a GTX 560ti as the Phyx - nothing like a added 2GB to lighten the load for gaming)... I can see you saying... wait a minute...you almost doubled the heat generating of that poor machine... you evil twisted monster!!! No, I'm not mean... I added a new side fan, and new 120mm front fan (both glowing a lovely blue) and a Corsair Hydro water-cooling processor system with another 120mm fan...
I was running at upwards of 100C/212F before all this (yes, and playing games) and had to keep my bios set to lowest settings.... Now I have tested it with max overclocking at highest use and it barely hit 40C/104F!!
So when the app is done... I am SO ready to play the RIGHT way without crashes every 5 mins from heat overload!!! (and I am NOT a combat player.. I'm a trucker/explorer)
