wake scanning no data what changed in patch? BUG?

I have been trying to get Datamined Wake Exceptions need to run fsd range 5 for new cutter
I have been out most of the night scanning wakes from station and planetary landing bases. I have wake scanned in the past for strange wake solutions with no problems. Today however i scanned for 2 hours never collected any data whatsoever i am deeply confused as I am doing everything the same as previous wake scanning for mats.

any help would be appreciated

We've all done it.

I am forever confused at the logic behind us actually having less inventory space for Data (!!), than for Material Storage. Something about that seems wrong, can't quite put my finger on it...
