Wake Scrambler

I was attempting to jump out of a system in order to escape some pirates and they followed me right to the next system, this process was repeated until my ship, and all of my cargo was destroyed. I asked myself, what if there was a way to prevent unwanted ships from following me? So I concocted this idea of a wake scrambler. We have wake scanners so why not a wake scrambler? This device, possible a mounted utility, would make your FSD wake un- scanable and un-followable. This would be useful to have in PvP when attempting to outrun those persistent pirates, or even in PvE when those pesky NPCs follow you for the entire duration of your route. It could also prove useful for smugglers and pirates when jumping with illicit cargo. Any one else have any thoughts on this?

Not keen on this suggestion for two main reasons:

1. It makes the Wake Scanner much less useful, and it's already quite situational due to it's rather power hungry requirements

2. It won't actually stop the pirates from chasing you down, it's quite possible they followed up by lining up your vector to the star you traveled to. Are you sure those pirates even had a wake scanner? It's more than possible to follow most players without using a Wake Scanner when they High Wake.

What you need to do is work on better evasive flying and waking, go to immediate low wake at destination for example and then high wake again. Or avoid lining up to your destination until the last moment so it's not too obvious where you were jumping to.
