Walking around planets

Given some of the articles talk about radiation / heat hazards and limited air I'm not sure this will be possible without calling in air support every 10 minutes. Does make me wonder of planet-legs will basically be 'run to the base before you die', 'run to sample the planet before you die', 'run to the ship before you die'. Which would probably be realistic, but may not be what people expected. Hey ho, we will see.

As long as we can take our Space Petanque sets with us an complete a game before we die horribly of radiation poisoning I will be happy :)

I fully expect that the life support capabilities of our suits will be able to be extended via Engineering though. Not just the guns.
And if you'll have to call in your ship to "top up" every ten minutes, I think some people will still do it. It would just make things longer.
(Although I absolutely wonder about SRVs. Normally, I'd expect that we could enter and exit them at will. Would they top up the oxygen and whatnot, or not?)

Hell, one of the first things we'll try is if it will be possible to raise other CMDRs into orbit. If yes, then you can bet somebody will try to "walk" (more like jetpack) to a station / another moon.
This has been on my to do list ever since space legs was announced.

You mean like jumping on top of another commanders ship who then takes off and flies to the next landable body or station in the system (without switching to supercruise), I guess? I think for that purpose you need the unique silver spacesuit.
