Walkthrough Exhibit Options

Since the inclusion of the sloth is coming soon to the walkthrough exhibit, I want to bring up something I would like to see implemented. That being the option to remove the path from the walkthrough exhibit and closing the entrances to make it a standard mesh exhibit for housing animals without the walkthrough part.

This is to just give us the option to house them differently and to make a normal exhibit for the animals.

Yes. We all have wanted this since the introduction of bats.

We have a couple of advantages, now, especially since guests can view them from the outside and also we can make invisible paths.

But of we can take out the path entirely and/or block off entrances, it'd be even better

Well we can make the exhibit closed off to guests and still accessible to staff by a little planning ahead. With the null path being implemented this makes it even easier and more natural looking
  • Place down walkthrough exhibit and change the path to natural (we should have a toggle for null/no kerbs)
  • Delete the pvc door via the exhibit menu , cover one side up with scenery pieces like the scenery you might be using to decorate your exhibit with
  • The other doorway will be your staff path, easily make this side your staff area and do whatever you normally do for staff areas. Of course link a staff path to the doorway to make your exhibit functional
  • Now that your exhibit is functional, place your guest path along one side of the exhibit. The best option is a null barrier exhibit that you decorate with your own glass or other material, I think the other materials options don't allow guests to stare into the exhibit
  • Place guest barriers (green and black barriers found in the security menu) along the length between the guest path and exhibit - hide them underground by disabling align to surface. This stops guests from occasionally teleporting into the exhibit then getting trapped
  • Guests should now arrive at your exhibit and view the animals like a normal exhibit
