Why ticket? It is a known exploit. The devs are very aware of it. I am just nagging on getting a solution. The sooner the better, because this will not do in an online game. If you go Open, then for good or bad, you may get killed. Deal with it.

For the mods: is exposing cheaters with very good evidence to back it up naming and shaming?

I understand that rule as throwing slander around. Slander may or not be true. Video evidence however require a bit of explanation to make go away.

I only play Open and I think C-loggers are the lowest scum... on a par with Hackers.

I agree with the OP in that it was a combat log. But you may never meet him again to absolutely prove it, if you put in a ticket FD could track his activity and act on the evidence...posting on line is not the 'Due process'.

Yes, some may get accused of such despicable behaviour due to bad luck - the ISP taking a little siesta or whatnot. It happens. But for that to happen when in-game and low on hull and about to get killed... Not very likely. Possible yes. But then again, winning the lottery is also possible.

No, most, nearly all disconnects during combat where the losing party is well under 50% hull, is due to combat logging. And they should all be considered as dead the moment they log off.

If it was me who ruled, and you may be glad I am not, all who combat logged with less than 50% hull more than once since release, would be reset to a Sidewinder and 1000 credits. I would call that justice!

If no, then please reason why.

Yes, but not on the forum for 2 reasons:

- You only have evidence of what you see from your vantage point. It may well look like a combat-log but you don't know for sure.
- Naming and Shaming, which is what you're are doing, is a violation of the T&C for this forum.

IMO what you should do is raise a ticket to FD and link the supporting evidence for them to decide.

You can clearly see the name of the pilot involved. I'm sure someone will find it against the rules. Just be safe, ticket it and move on, don't get yourself in trouble.

Most of us play fair. We never yank the cable no matter what. All we want is a level playing-field. That is it, and that is all.

Hell, I got killed today by another player, cost me 1.6 million. I'm not griping over that, it happens. I am griping over those that cheat however.

It does seem like he could have been using the legal 15 second timeout, you move a lot around him but he isnt, at 25s part he would have hit esc and waited 15 seconds. Ive watch it many times and you move around hit but im not sold that he is also moving, i think hes waiting, as soon as you steady he is also steady.
