Newcomer / Intro Wandering aimlessly looking for rebel signals

good release and loving the game, even if i am wandering aimlessly around a system...

picked up my first mission, to retrieve rebel signal, seem to find them randomly but keep overshooting and dropping out too far out!

grats to all the devs, and looking forward to more updates!

Sounds like you're searching unidentified signal sources? If you are, then you can fly to them in the same way that you fly to a station. Select them as a target and keep your throttle in the blue zone as you supercruise towards them. Your ship computer should then help decelerate automatically and at <1Mm distance you'll get an option to drop out at your target.

Apologies if you're already doing exactly that!

Hi, Look for Unidentified Signal Sources within the system, eventually you'll come across the rebel transmissions. If you are overshooting the USS, approach at about 60% throttle (or 6 secs showing on approach, if you approach any faster, you will overshoot). You will have to cargo scoop the rebel transmissions, again, go slow.

I go with the '7 second rule' for supercruise - 100% power until you hit 7 seconds remaining then cut to 75%. It should stay at 7 secs remaining as you slow down.

I am hopelessly searching for the Rebel Transmissions as well. I have to ask: how do you locate anything like a Object in a System? I have found the right Star/System, I have even found a way to activate a sensor, but it does absolutely nothing that I can see. So, I need a practical method for figuring this stuff out.

How would a new player like me:
1) Find Objects is a System?
2) Find a source for learning the the general skills a player needs to progress?
