Want The Corvette or any other Fed Ship? Watch this Federal Ranking Instructional Video

Hi guys and gals.
I have put together a short instructional video to help you get up the Federal Ranks. This way is by no means the only way to get up the ranks, but it is a fairly quick and more importantly SAFE, no-risk way. Hope it is helpful to you.

Thanks Embryo - good tutorial, good advice. I'm currently ranking up in the Federation to try out the Federal Assault Ship, and it's definitely slower going than when I ranked up in the Imperial Navy several months ago.

Not wanting to clog up a single system, does anyone else have favoured systems with a prevalence of charity missions, and perhaps some corresponding systems for Imperial ranking?

My home system of Finteno has a number of charity missions available too.
Glad you liked the vid, thank you.

Yesterday I sat in 17 Draconis for a couple hours refreshing the bulletin board and grabbing all the donation missions. I was doing other things at the time (watching football, playing Minecraft with the kids), so I wasn't constantly refreshing, but I was able to quickly level up from Recruit to Warrant Officer in very little time. If you don't mind sitting in a station for a little while, you can grind a few ranks pretty easily in 17 Draconis.

That is totally a viable station too. However I am highlighting that picking up the donating goods missions helps in a better way as you build up faction rep all over the place and is IMHO more fun than sitting in one place for hours on end. The video shows a couple little tips, such as using Thrudds trade (other trade tools are available) tool too.

Rep for the guide. Offering people more options to have fun and progress at the same time is excellent.

I mix it up at 17 Draconis and take charity missions until I've filled my hold with shadow delivery goods, then head off to deliver them. You get up to 6 charity missions a refresh and get tons of military progress done before you head out to deliver the smuggled goods. They net you about 20m credits (more if you spend longer stacking them up but I don't have much time to play so I usually get about 7 or so) on completion (about an hour total in an Asp, mainly so long because the authority and pirate interdictions ramp up with more missions), more military progress for mission completion and about 3% Tycoon progress to boot.

It's only because I get less than 4 hours to play a week that I haven't already got the corvette. It's extremely quick and exceptionally fast money and very challenging, more so than any other activity I've taken part in since gamma, due to the sheer volume of spawned AI... Hence, it's a lot of fun (for me, anyway... I understand some don't find increased risk and reward fun and prefer to grind credits in total safety and I respect their preference).

Thanks for the rep!
I love mixing up the type of missions I take, risk is not something I worry too much about, it is a game at the end of the day. However, I know that there are a lot of new players that wish to see Earth and have no idea of how to up their Fed rank to do so, in a relatively safe manner. I am so glad that you realised that was the aim of the vid. Cheers Cmdr, Fly Safe!
