Want to find a Black Hole? How about 430 of them?

While returning from my first BBR Sag A* run, I stumbled into this sector: :eek:

430 Black Holes.jpg

Each of those red circles is a black hole, within about 100 LY of my position.

There are FOUR HUNDRED AND THIRTY than I can count. This is just in one direction.

This sector really sucks.

Nice. Think of the credits if you can be bothered to scan them all. Might have to pass by that way on my next expedition, makes a change from neutron stars...

Blake, the coordinates are there to enjoy! Might I suggest that if you make the trip you also participate in the BBR Sag A*? You get a free bumper sticker just for making it to Sag A*!

No, really, you get a real bumper sticker. Real. Posted to you. For Free. How. Cool. Is. That.

In the image I posted - about 25 million Credits, give or take a few hundred thousand depending on how many ELWs you find. I found 10 in about 3 hours in this sector.

To scan the BHs in my image would take 8-10 hours, not bad money considering you can do it in a pretty cheap ship. I'm in a Cobra.

You didn't mention how many neutron stars there are, but there'll be even more than 430. :)
You're in the lower Neutron Fields. (Z axis -1454)

Holy sexnuggets that's a lot of holes. So how are you confirming that these systems? Are you going to each one or can you tell via galaxy map?

You can tell via Galaxy Map. If you're close to the Core, pivot the camera so you get the cream-coloured star fields as a background, and Black Holes show up very clearly as black dots.

Yep, I'm in the Neutron Strata, but I've never seen a sector with this many black holes.

Thank you much I'm off to test this. As well as see if I can score me a bumper sticker too. ;)

There are basically 8 neutron fields, just to separate them:
2 are : Left & below the core, Left and above the core(this side of the core)
2 are : Right & below the core, Right and above the core(this side of the core)
4 are : Mirror the above 4 on the other side of the core

Each field is approximately :
Width = 8000 LY
Height = 700 LY
Depth = 7000 LY

So 777Driver is just about right, the width of the field is about 16000LY , height about 1400LY and depth about 14000LY. Ignoring the sparse patches in this "one" big field, there are Billions of Neutron Stars and Black Holes in there.

Is that just for getting there? I started a while back and am almost there now.

/me tags the link for later

Look up the BuckyBall Race - that gives you the conditions. You'll need to have started in Gallileo Orbiter in Sol to qualify.

I did not long after posting that, but i was on my tablet by then and posting sucks on tablets. No worries. I wouldn't mind a speed run one of these days once I get back. There's a fair bit of stuff out here to see. :)
