Want to play Odyssey but dont want or cant afford a PC? This may help.

I only play one game and played ED on my XBox One and had saved to buy the new XBox in anticipation Frontier would release EDO for the new console which we all now know didnt happen, Thanks to people on this forum i learned of being able to play EDO via my XBox, the Microsoft Edge web browser, GeForce Now and Steam so bought a Steam version of ED & EDO, went through the quite difficult process of linking my accounts and tried it but the results were awful, terrible graphics, I now know because of going through a web browser so stopped playing. Again thanks to a member of this forum i then learned of a gadget called NVidia Shield TV Pro so used half the money i had saved for anew XBox and purchased Shield Pro, connected it to my Router and 4k TV and wow, what a difference, i now play EDO wirelessly with graphics equal to ED on XBox on my 4k TV at just £20 a month for the top tier of GeForce which equates to 8 to 12 years of playing compared to buying a £2k to £3k gaming computer, try it you wont be disappointed.

And Geforce Now is even free of charge for sessions shorter than 1 hour, so you can test the service!

i would still recommend paying one months subscription of the top tier to get a true idea what the graphics are like as the free tier wont be as good graphically so not a good comparison But the free tier is fine just to test the Shield TV Pro is working OK.

That should be stickied as an announcement on this forum somewhere for all of those on consoles that don't want to shell out for a PC.

Seriously. How is that not an announcement on this forum and on their main site?

My TV has an app for that... No need for anything else...

Also, it can be installed on just about any modern android devices, Chromecast Apple products, Android TV, Amazon Fire etc etc.

sad thing is geforce now is only available for northern countries , the rest of us down south have to just wait till we sell our kidney to afford a computer that can play odyssey.

MickyG1983, what app are you referring to please as I’ve searched my TV and can’t find anything relevant, thanks?
Depends on the telly i'm afraid, mine is a relatively modern (albeit cheap) LG smart TV, it's an app that I downloaded for it. If I ever get the chance to use my TV I might even give it a go.

Further to above and from an online tip on the Shield TV Pro I now play EDO with my TV switched to Game Mode and it does make a difference.

Yep, tried Geforce Now with a new Nvidia Shield TV Pro and worked fine, so got the Priority service for £9/month with no Queing to get into a game of ED3.8 or ED4.0 - no EDO as yet.
Currently tediously setting up DS4 controller one button at a time to work as on PS ED, but seems to work great.
