i belive that the wanted level should be base on what you kill not just a set factor i.e 6k, if i kill a Type 7 trade ship cause i was being a "Greifer" that bounty on my head for killing said vessel should be upwords of 17 million " the price of the ship " or at least a base percentage of what that player lost.

Do you agree? lets the dev's Know and lets put a poll up

I vote yes, but I don't agree with the actual pricing. It should be relative to the cost of the ship for sure, but if it was the same as the actual cost, you would never be able to pay off your bounties.
I can easily kill a Dropship or Anaconda, but I don't even have 1 million to spend let alone 150 million!

Perhaps it could also be relative to the cost of your own ship or similar...

Well if you kill a innocent ship that's not wanted i think you shouldn't be able to pay off the bounties, that's just IMO, it would make people less likely to kill players and use other means to get what we want. "never been killed by another player since i i started playing so im not crying about anything.

I vote no since it makes exploit. Bounty must be less than killer ship insurance. The solution is adding the clearing fine which differs from the bounty, and depends on killed ship cost.

Just started playing open, and got griefed by an asp in my type7 full of 216T gold by a CMDR who said he had only 400 bounty on his head and didn t want more.... just before taking me down without asking anything so definitely a yes.

6k is what you actually get for killing a non-wanted target so the two options stay.

I know. Actually it can be over 6k... I hope you know that.

The two options are so disparate that they make the poll a joke.

Murder bounty should be 5% of ship value at shipyard. Keep it simple.

I'm ok with a better aproach to player's bounties, even tweaking the NPCs one so we get local "named" pirates with escorts like miniboses. But the whole "die and pay all your bounties" is just nuts.

bounties for killing un-wanted players or npc's rearly go over 6k "OK 6k and change" ive killed alot players so i should know and ive killed alot of npc's too. ive done my homework.

I will agree to your statment about a percentage of the ship value %5 is a little low as killing a sidy would give you very little bounty, there should def be a minimum amount. in real life you would have to pay me 10k to kill someone and that is the going rate to be honest so i think the minimum should be 10k for killing an unwanted target and a percentage of the ship for larger or more valuble cargo fillied ships.

bounty for "murder" be something like the rebuy cost.

also, would be cool if some of the bounty goes back to the victims should the perp pay it off, or get caught.

If anything the bounty should reflect the insurance cost rather than the ship cost. But nah! It's fine how it is. I do agree with the comments that state that a 'murder' bounty should not be able to be bought out, but I would add: unless you are at least friendly with that faction.

I.E. non constructive comment please keep them to yourself.

No thanks. Letting people know it was discussed several times over a long period of time and most likely won't change anytime soon is constructive, it helps them not waste their time trying to get it changed.
