Wanted by The Federation

Currently I am wanted by the Federation but cannot see how to clear it. I have tried visiting low security and anarchy systems but the interstellar contact shows no bounty or fines outstanding. I have also tried dying but that has no effect either. Currently I am also friendly with the Federation which I find a bit odd, also my notoriety is at zero. I would ignore it but I am unable to refuel/repair at Federation stations which is a bit awkward. Any suggestions welcome

I don't know if this is intended by Frontier (i doubt it) or if it's a bug.
The thing is: Now, you can't clear a bounty at Interstellar Factors if the faction issuing the bounty is present at the system.
What you have to do is find a system with an Interstellar Factors where there aren't any Federation-aligned factions.
Try going to the Pai Szu system, there's an outpost there; Clifton Survey; you can clean yourself there.

Take a trip to some Interstellar Faction in a system that is farther away from your regular base of operations.
Make sure the system is about 20+ ly far from the nearest system inhabited by the faction that might have put a bounty on you.
Also make sure you have notoriety 0

First of all, thanks for the suggestions guys. I have tried Clifton Survey with mixed success, it does indeed show the bounty there. However, when I click to pay it I just get a beep and nothing happens. The good news though is that I re-logged at the station and it had cleared the bounty so a special shout out to HaLfY

I've got 6 bounties that I can't pay off. I flew to IFs further and further away until I was 150LYs away, but still couldn't pay them off. The strange thing though is that the guys I play with get the same bounties in the same places, and they can all pay theirs off a the local IF.

Do you have Federation bounties that do not show up at an Interstellar Factor as I had? The only thing that was showing for me was I was wanted by the Federation. If thats the case then HaLfY's solution worked for me. If the bounties are just normal ones then you should be able to clear them if your notoriety is at zero.
