I want "cmdr *********" dead. Last seen 2 days ago in Lave system.
Yellow Viper.
No question asked.
Will offer 100 000 credits worth cargo.

Will rendez-vous near Lave after job completion.

And "cmdr", you said "rare is old, that's where the fun is" ?

You'll have to wait for a "wanted" mechanic to be in game. if FD decides to as "naming" a cmdr isn't allowed on here and will be edited shortly.

As far as reliably meeting someone, you'll have to wait for that too as currently it's just not reliable, at all.

IMO No naming and shaming is one of the stupidest things to have on this forum when it could actually substitute missing game features.

Sure wish ED had a prepaid bounty system for cmdrs but, given the state of the game ATM that may be a year or two down the road.

(Prepaid as in the cmdr issuing the bounty, say 100,000cr must pay the "system" the cr. upfront, with the caveat the bounty can be withdrawled by the issuer at any time before the target is killed)

Giving half the reward to someone when the chance of an encounter is so small ?
It's much of posting a "wanted", western style.
I dont want to start a debate on public forum :
It was his right to act like this in the game, I want to keep it in the game

Game doesn't allow to post an assassination contract, or I would have posted it in the game.
No need to take this too seriously

In fact, he wants fun through piracy, so he may find it fun as well.

And all in all, it was a cool fight.

I miss the SWG system of "do you wish to place a bounty on _____"? and leaving it at that. The system sets the amount and puts up the bounty and you have no further input.

Yep it would be a good idea if FD established a tightly modded Bounty subForum for commanders to post bounties and other jobs for that matter

Or simply an ingame pilot finder mechanism, where you pay to have someones location revealed.

This was a feature in the old games where you could locate your assassination targets from npcs in space stations for a fee.

I would love to see a system (probably via contacts) where you can post a bounty on someone (from your own cash), be even better (probably only work) if it validated they had committed a crime against you, then others could hunt and punt. You would only show as wanted to the persons who had accepted the bounty hunt (other reasons to be wanted would of course still stand).

Folks on the hunt could also 'exploration' style hand in updates on 'last seen location'.

Would add some great spice to the game.

Wouldn't that be cool? Anything in the DDA about this that anyone remembers? Not that the DDA still (or ever) applies mind you.

Until a bunch of gooners manage to game it into a profit making grief system.

Wow, I did not know we couldnt name CMDRs in the game. I agree, that is extremely childish and immature to prohibit us from naming them. Keeping their name out of the forum is to accomplish what exactly?

The only thing ED is doing by not letting us Post bounties. of coarse need some sort of evidence that the target was takin down.. is basically making it to were we all going to have to find another forum or website not controlled by dev's were players can FREELY put there credits were there mouths are. I saw this coming back in early Beta when i started.. no more sure way to kill a community quick then to basically silence them .
