The only thing ED is doing by not letting us Post bounties. of coarse need some sort of evidence that the target was takin down.. is basically making it to were we all going to have to find another forum or website not controlled by dev's were players can FREELY put there credits were there mouths are. I saw this coming back in early Beta when i started.. no more sure way to kill a community quick then to basically silence them .

Finding a forum that enforces spelling and grammar would do for me.

Just to put this out there, but what's stopping a buddy of said commander to take the job and killing the target while flying a really cheap/free ship, collecting the bounty and then sharing it between themselves?

Wasn't this the same problem in EVE?

btw, I don't have the game so if there's some mechanic stopping this that I'm unaware of please excuse me

Wow, I did not know we couldnt name CMDRs in the game. I agree, that is extremely childish and immature to prohibit us from naming them. Keeping their name out of the forum is to accomplish what exactly?

To avoid arguments and "mob" actions apparently. So far it's working about as good as multi-player is in ED. Nope, no arguments on this forum

What's stopping it? Well broken multiplayer is probably the biggest "feature" preventing it right now

The main focus for the "Bring me the head of Alfredo Garcia" threads seems to be two players acting in concert against one, so someone's managed to work it out.

Player posted bounties is a nice idea that is just, in this age, far too trolloloololl and exploitable. Rather what we need is some sort of real time or near real time top 10 bounty lists and/or station factions themselves posting bounties on players who pirate in the sector and not just NPC's
