Wanted Glitch ?

I keep getting hit with a wanted tag. I scan the NPC, it says wanted, so I shoot and bam, I'm wanted. I think it usually happens when the target is really far away and I hit her with a rail gun. Anyone else notice this ? o7

Are the targets locally wanted, or are you performing a KWS on them and see a bounty in another jurisdiction?

I hope this isn't a return of the "wanted" for killing a wanted NPC bug again [where is it]

If it's showing as Wanted in the left hand panel it must be Wanted. Is the issue definitely weapon specific? Might be a glitch.

It's always my long range rail guns. There is an off chance I'm hitting a nearby ship ? But it's happened 3 times now and that seems to be a bit of a coincidence.
