Wanted : Odyssey Manual

Hi all,

Just picked up Odyssey a week ago and I know there are issues but I'm fine with most of it. However, as a player who was 15K LY or so out in the black when i picked it up, it's really thrown my game off a bit. The changes to planetary exploration, the system map and so forth seem significant in the details that I'm getting a little lost or confused. Is there a manual for, Odyssey in specific, that I can read to get into the changes.

I'm so confused about the planetary stuff. I get conflicting takes online and can't find much in the form of vids or articles, because everyone is focused on the FPS and land stuff.

Is there anything like this?

Thanks.

I have a guide to Biological and Geological features.

Thank you . This is good reading. Sadly I won't be walking on planets anytime soon. I'm soooo far out here that there's nowhere for me to get a suit to walk out with. Do you know of any more info with the System Map? I'm so confused on the whole atmo/atmo-landable/landable/landable with features. I don't know what to land on anymore when looking for minerals. Used to be I could DSS and see landable bodies with materials and even if they had zero features I could get a few things. Now I'm a bit lost. Thank you.

Oh you can walk out with a flight suit, but yes, without the tool, the best you can do is take pictures and scan them with the SRV to get the codec voucher.

There is probably a station somewhere near you now, relatively speaking, but I don't know which way you have gone. There are many more than people realize.

Try eddb.io and search for the nearest station to your system. This however, also presumes you can get the stuff at any station, although I am not sure that is the case?!

Explorer's Anchorage - next door to Sag A* - have Artemis suits. I specifically went in to check last I was there - which was the first time I was there as well... I didn't go to check that out, I just happened to check it out being in the area.

Nice one, thanks for making me feel less like I was making it up lol!

Have you tried a popular online auction website?
For a manual?

Yea. Left there a few days ago and now I'm like 3K LY away from there (I'm about to cross into IZANAMI). I'm not jumping back for a tool now. But now that I know that I can get out. That will be good enough for now.

We were told that every Station/Outpost that had been placed in the black had a Pioneer counter to allow those Explorer's in the black & the option to buy the three Suits, though they are all only G1 Suits & basic G1 Weapons.

So far every where I'v been has a Pioneer Store.

To be honest - for the most part and explorer only needs the Artemis to turn a handsome profit and G1 is sufficient.

You don't need engineering unless you intend to go mountaineering or base jumping/geyser jumping.

I'll have to double check the maps but I don't think there are any stations or outposts out here past Sag A*. I'm headed to a Fleet Carrier now for a little maintenance. So I'll take a look.
