WANTED or NOT WANTED - that is the question?

Like so many other CMDRs I try to not hit stray ships - but having different fire groups - I just had to make a mistake (of course) - the IPC ship that said - "what are you carrying" fired on me - missed but there was intent - I attacked - BUT the attack on me was not registered - he missed - I hit - red flash WANTED 156Cr - OK, so I'm in sector Shinrata Dezhra - SD - in new ASP - don't want to damage the paintwork, and it does not spin easily - still careful when docking (I do have x3 insurance cover so just don't want to have to use it - he was WANTED (nice bounty) but I was a little forward in my welcome. So head for LFT 926 - independent - so WANTED status not active - pay it off - NO Pilot Fed - no wanted fine. I checked the map with SD - Yes still WANTED 156Cr.

So I nip to FED Space @ Nuenets - and again, no opportunity to pay, bit concerned I cannot drop back to SD - so buy little sidey - set it all to D sell weapons, etc. - just want a taxi ride - drop into SD - WANTED highlighted on RHS - arrive @ SD - high speed through the letter box from 8km out, scan starts but go quiet - do not stop! Land on pad - Phew!!!!! AND No WANTED fee to pay, but WANTED status.

Oh help - do I need to ticket this - or risk each time I drop into SD - so I log out - go from PvE Mobius to SOLO - and NO WANTED status??????

A bit strange - will go back to Nuenets and swap back to ASP and PvE and see if it is clear.

Any one else seen something like this?

Yep, just ticketed it...some part of the server seem to have taken a glass too much to drink this fine Saturday. :D

Had this happen to me yesterday. When I relogged (small) bounty and wanted status was gone. I ticketed it.

This as just happened too me. got the wanted status, so i landed at nearest port, tried too pay it off and can't.. I will go back in game and see if its changed after reading this thread. I will let ya know what happens.

Just gone back in game the wanted status was removed.. Anyway i was in middle of a rank progression mission killed the badboy and got a 5400 credit fine again. so i went too the nearest port too pay off and same thing, cant pay it off. So anyway i came back out of game and straight back in and again no wanted status and i didnt have too pay a penny.
But when i was on way back too the system that gave me the mission the bloody server as gone down..

I simply left a station in Xihe and got a Federation Wanted status for no reason.

Docked at 3 systems (including a Federation station) with no opportunity to pay it off.

Can I just buy a Sidewinder and let someone bounty hunt me?
