Wanted: small Appartment on a cozy station!

Really, this is all I want. Only a tiny one-room apartment including maybe a small storage area I can buy to look outside the window and watch the traffic.
Maybe I can place some pictures on the walls I have taken (sims3-style) and make my tiny apartment my home in the galaxy.
I do not need real 3d-virtual-reality quality "space legs" adventures.
Sim3-Quality would be enough for me.
Maybe I can fill that apartment with my rare goods and some space Whiskey.
Maybe a Thargoid attack will blast it all into space.
Who knows?

Not a bad idea. Another idea. This is space that not being used like the Advanced scanner and surface scanner might take less room. Then the module space. To Make that space into a Living compartment

What I know from the books and such They are pressurized unless damaged. Then it kinda like a Boat or Sub. If a section is breached it can be closed off.

I'm hoping that we can eventually get a personal base of sorts - not a full blown space station, just a personal garage inside an asteroid or something

Some sort of personal space where I can store commodities, artefacts and the like would be just gorgeous. Maybe we could pay a holding weekly fee at the station to keep our goods there, and if we don't pay it then we get fines etc. Some sort of hold at least anyway would be wonderful. Having to parlay my inventory from ship to ship without choice isn't the best when you fleet from a T9 to a limited ASP X for example. Slight deviation from the original post, sorry! Apartments perhaps... though I'd rather some sort of bunk on our ships, to be honest.

Me was actually thinking that all spacecraft, except probably SLFs, would offer some kind of accomodation. How else would one go for those long exploration trips? I mean, if nothing else, there are always the escape pods... with the added benefit of not having to hastily creep out of the scanner bay should something go terribly wrong at night.

On the other hand then, it is a bit creepy to imagine your alarm clock going off after a good sleep, and find yourself drifting helplessly out in the void

I guess I'd prefer to sacrifice one unit of cargo capacity and make myself a cosy nest on the cargo rack [smile]
