Community Event / Creation Wanted: Voice Talent

Hi Everyone

If you listen to my podcast you know that the 'casts are generally a mix of 'in character' and 'out of character' with Commander John Harper cruising around the galaxy, seeing and doing things, meeting up with other Commanders and blabbing on about his book.

To that end I need voices for characters that I will bump into. It might just be a few lines (that you could record with windows sound recorder)*, it could be a bigger chat recorded on Skype, it could even be a full on skype recorded conversation if you are interested. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

*If you use a Mac I'm not interested in talking to you. Just kidding, but I don't know what Macs use to record sound.

Happy to help! I've contributed to a few adverts for Lave Radio and done a bit of voice work for games. I'm not necessarily good, just willing ;)

Darren and Psycho, I think I have you guys on skype? If not, I'm harpertron2000. I find skype chat an easy way to organise things. If you aren't skype inclined, that's fine, PM me your email address and we'll do it that way (and this applies to anyone else happy to help)

It's OK ... if a moderator thinks it's worthy to be a sticky, that's OK
(It just seemed everything was being stickied, and I was only half serious anyway)

btw, if you want the worst voice you'll ever hear ... let me know :D

You could put up some sample texts with a note of the style you want (drunken space bum, official space traffic controller, commander under attack etc.) - without giving plot spoilers away.

Then applicants could mail you in an audition..

I'm also available for it whenever. If you want me to send over a few trial lines, I can do. Otherwise you can just listen to a few seconds of one of my YouTube videos. They pretty much all have commentary from myself :D
