Newcomer / Intro Wanted

I have seemed to have gone and got wanted! I was fighting a bounty that the Feds were fighting and after I somehow ended up wanted. How do I get rid of this or am I doomed to be a criminal forever haha

You will be wanted in Federation, Empire, Alliance, or some independent system. You need to find an outpost (NOT a station) belonging to the same faction then go there & pay off your fine/bounty. Outposts don't have security patrols, so you won't be scanned, see ?

I made the station mistake yesterday!

It says I'm wanted by the federation and the V774 Hurculis Transport Company. I have gone to a few colonies and some other out skirt places. When I go into contacts it doesn't say that I have any outstanding fines or bounties. I have tried in federation space and in the Hurculis V774 system. still nothing.

I restarted the game and the wanted level is gone. Guess it was a glitch.

Yeah, not being able to pay of your own bounty, but losing it while relogging is a known bug. Must have entered the game during the last update.

Btw I docked lots of times in starports with a small bounty on my head. Never any problems, inside before the security can even open fire. So don't be to afraid unless you fly a very slow ship

Ah, that's good to know. I did exactly the same as the OP last night and acquired a small bounty. Was quite concerned when I couldn't see the option to pay it off.

I've logged on before only to discover a bounty for no reason! I went back to the station I was at and paid it off it was fine.

Lol perhaps you got my bounty...
As a software developer, my first thoughts go to a referential integrity issue where somehow bounties are linked to other players
