Wanted?

So today I log in and buy my python, deck it out with cargo etc. I check to make sure I have the insurance and notice I'm suddenly wanted in the station I'm sitting in? How is this possible. The last time I was on, I was trading for a couple hours with no interdiction or anything?

Anyone one else get this? I would do a ticket but seeing how it takes a month or more for 750credits seems pointless. Unless this is some kind of bug, but I thought this was fixed.

Unless I bought a Python that was hot? hmmmm.

:(

What also doesn't make sense is the bounty on one screen show's 500 credits, on the pay screen it's showing 750 credits?

The wanted status only appeared after I bought my new ship.

There are a few 'strange' things happening atm, yesterday i swapped to my trusty ol' Viper pressed lauch and... nothing. I'm launched sitting on the pad with the timer counting down. Took me a while to figure out the thrusters were turned off ?? Not by me i might add !

Don't know why you got the bounty, but it always costs more to clear it than the bounty value itself. Maybe admin charge?

Paying off is more than the bounty, and 500cr bounty probably means a loitering fine that wasn't paid off in time.

That's just it, I had no bounty or wanted earlier. If I didn't I most likely would not have made it into the station in my T-7. The wanted just popped up after I bought and equipped my new python (which I apparently bought on the black marked as the previous owner must have had outstanding tickets).

Good thing I notice before I tried to leave the station for the first time.

Please read yabba's reply again. Fine =/= bounty or wanted. A fine will not make you wanted immediately. It will wait until 24 hours has passed, and then turn into a bounty/wanted. So if you forgot to pay the fine and log off before the 24 hours is up, you can turn wanted the next time you logged in.

There is always 50% admin fee for fines & bounties that are not paid at the station that issues them.

Well it's better than killing a confirmed wanted criminal and getting slapped with a 13k bounty.
it wasn't like it was expensive and none of the players wanted to take me on seeing as I was in my conda but come on I even KWS scanned him... Some strange things happen when there's a beta it's like some of the bugs bleed over.

If you KWS them and they have a bounty anywhere then it will show. But in a law abiding system if they're clean there you get a bounty for shooting an innocent civilian.

I don't believe I had a fine that was due or missed. I usually go into that section to make sure I have nothing outstanding.

I'm beginning to thing that Used Ship sales man was not telling me the whole truth about the history of my new ship ;)

i was thinking the same thing, ive picked up a loitering fine, here and there, on my way to a pad. dropped my cargo, forgotten to pay the fine, and logged out for the evening.

I was in a fed system and he was wanted in that jurisdiction. It was a bug. But thanks for the advice.
