This was a question I tried to pose to DB at the Premier but (through no fault of his own) I didn't get the answer.
As release is just around the corner I'm curious as to weather I'll stumble across a starport that is under attack. I'd love to see the docking portal close up and the station defenses firing on the Federal dropships and their fighter escorts that are deploying from the Federation Capital Ship. I imagine we will see it at some point for sure but is it there already?
Should I go out and look for it?
Back in Beta 1 my first interdiction overlapped with me dropping out at Azeban City. I was chased by pirates all the way to the station! I found it really exciting not only because it was pretty damn cool but also because it showed events were not static and tied to an area set out by the devs but actual things that could overlap each other!
Obviously this can't happen anymore with the new interdiction mechanics so I'm now wondering about other things, hence my question.
PS. The reason DB didn't answer was because we were standing in front of the speakers after the livestream had ended and that music came on. I asked David but thanks to the music (and my sheepishness) he misheard and proudly informed me that yes, the encounter featured in the livestream could happen in game!
It had taken my a long time just to pluck up the courage to go up to him in the first place (it really shouldn't have because he's fantastically friendly) as I'm quite shy, I'd also have felt silly asking again and holding up the queue so I thanked him an moved on...
So, does anybody know or should I just wait and see?
