War is coming and Jaques is the excuse

I feel that the the recent failed excursion to Beagle point accidentally placed Jaques in a sector of space populated by an advanced civilization. The strip mining in the surrounding systems has probably stirred up their interest in us. I would assume they considered us a pathetic species of squabblers until now. Perhaps the expansion into the Pleiades stoked their interest, hence the probes and barnacles. Of course history is replete of rumors and sightings. Maybe we were a joke up until recently.

I assume it was the same extra terrestrials that constantly interfered in our affairs throughout history and it was something of a novel distraction for their off world research expeditions. The recent discoveries of messages within ancient and recent wreckage's most definitely indicate a reluctance to establish any sort of dialogue. There have been no perceived demands or threats, not in any language or communication we have so far deciphered, which I consider strange given the time scale of their awareness of us.

Perhaps fringe elements of both the Federation and Empire have established communications but are reluctant to share information. Considering the massive federal activity at the barnacles sites it wouldn't be unreasonable to omit the federation from this theory. Or would it?

The mystery unfolds and someone knows the truth. I refuse to believe this is a complete mystery and fear for the pioneers cut off at Jaques 22000 light years away. Arm yourselves.

Where is this info coming from RE: Jaques?

No just speculation. Since we moved Obsidian orbital and Jaques out of the bubble and into deeper space, the Aliens perhaps have taken a keener interest in us. They have obviously taken out ships that have over stretched and I fear it is only a matter of time before they attempt to contain us back in the bubble. Perhaps the powers that be named it the bubble for that reason?

Which ships that have over stretched do you mean? The ones in those "find the wreckage" missions? They are all very, very close to the bubble..

Anyway, I think Jaques will be safe, it's the bubble you probably should be worrying about.

Jaques will be the Last Hope.
The Bubble is going to get wiped and the remnants of Humanity lost among the stars, stragglers and survivors all heading for Jaques.
Cue Battlestar Galactica theme tune.

People wanted the missions, etc, in the game to mean something. Now we will be fighting for the survival of humanity.

Lets hope these alien intruders don't have early access to instaship gratification (or whatever FDev are calling it)...

I may have to stop reading the 1984 style text adventure treasure hunt ASCII script and actually play the game...

"You have reached a junction in the road. Press N to go north... blah, blah.."

this i my theory. empire and federation are building battle cruisers and jaques is at the center of an untapped nebula wide full of resources. emp and fed are either gonna race to there or build a warp gate then fight for the territory. both side set up colonies and rapidly consumes resources from everywhere. while this happens the aliens watched but the aggressive expansion forced to take action. they appear and declare war to both sides. a 3 way war occurs.
