Warehouses - A place to store commodities

Hi,

I've been running around in my ASP doing missions for places. And all the while I've got rare commodities in my cargo hold. Why can't I dump them at a station while I'm doing these missions, I wonder? Why carry them around everywhere? Why not store them somewhere? After all ... you're able to store ships?

I know this could have balance implications, but I think I might have a solution to this:

Warehouses:
* Only able to store goods at stations you are allied with.
* Capacity of your warehouse is limited to 128 tonnes.
* Storage/Maintenance cost of 1% of goods value per day.

Thoughts?

I think it's because there is not a lot of space, in space.

Sure. As long as the station charges you a fee/day/ton for storage. Also, due to higher value goods more likely being a target for thieves, you should also have to pay a premium/day/ton that varies depending on the value of the cargo.
