I bought two of them, BOTH lost a button #2 after a week - then one stopped working after a week and a day, and now the other stopped working - and ALL this after i sat for 2 days to get the darn things to work with windows 7
Anyone else here has these problems with it?
I saw that ppl loose the same button #2 and have problems with the drivers.
I concur.
Do not, under any circumstances, purchase the FLY5.
I also bought two last year - one for me and one for my son.
My son's was the first one to go; on his, the plastic spring retention baseplate was rubbing against the plastic joystick shaft - and completely siezed up.
Mine went a few weeks ago; Right-hand Yaw (twist) kept triggering randomly.
Luckilly enough, Amazon was great and allowed me to return both, for a refund.
Seeing as the cost of these are quite high, to have this many defects, bad choice of materials, and bad workmanship, was quite annoying to say the least.
Don't buy them - they are a waste of money and time.
I bought my son a Thrustmaster T-Flight HOTAS instead - cheaper, but shedloads better than the FLY5.
The FLY5 is a good concept horribly executed.
Lastly; don't buy the FLY5. I think I said this already... *checks*... yep I did.
