Warning: MC hunting near stations (no-fire zone specials)

So my HELM had to learn the hard way (and me the soft way ) that when in Multicrew in a fighter, if only ONE CMDR is inside the no-firing zone, it doesn't matter if the other shot inside or OUTSIDE this zone, the station becomes aggro. Like if the mothership and its fighters are all considered one ship. If the "ship" fires while any "part" of it is inside the no-fire zone, it's a crime, even in anarchy systems, and you get your head cut off.

We were shooting at traders in an anarchy system. I feel sorry for the Helm and his rebuy. o7

Unless youre hitting a MC bug, stations don't get aggro if you shoot inside the NFZ, that only gives you a fine. What aggros the station is you shooting at a clean ship, whether in or out of the NFZ. Anarchy stations will become aggro if you shoot another ship that is of the same faction as the station, without regard to the NFZ.

Thank you. That would be it. Helm kept blaming me, saying I shot inside the no fire zone when I was not. After the session ended I thought to myself that he would hAve been better off hunting for mats at the nav beacon. He had two rebuys worth 44 millions.
