Hi everyone,
just a short heads up, don't know how many explorers are aware of this - some seem to be, others aren't.
When posting images of shinies while you're en route and still have some time before actually selling that system's data, a lot of people run the picture through an image editor and mask out the system/planet/... names to prevent others from claiming their prize.
This doesn't always work.
When saving that edited image, at the very least, change the image's name. ED stores the screenshots with system name and date, and even though (e.g.) imgur doesn't show that name directly (or in the link) it's still there and can be seen at least as title in the browser tab. The name may even still hang around somewhere in the EXIF data (haven't looked for it).
For me, that means I'll keep my best shinies to myself until I've sold the bunch and have verified my name on them.
