Hail Commanders
We have now lost two PC's to the Saitek drivers causing damage to our hard drives
The first machine I updated to Win 10 was an older Intel I7 Lenovo machine ran Elite "Ok" but on limited
graphics settings using a Cyborg flight 5, under Win 8 never had an issues.
Within days of using the drivers and joystick under Win 10 my son unplugged the joystick whilst the machine
was on the desktop, and the machine "locked up" this is a KNOWEN issue with Win 10 and Saitek and I have had several e-mails
back and forth with them since.
In short the forced shut down corrupted a sector of the hard drive and I was forced to re-install windows 8 and that is how the machine has been left
its running fine and no issues.
My second machine is new bought using "I need an upgrade *cough* the Lenovo is just SOOOooo old (4 year's;-)"
And is a custom built gaming rig top of the range with SSD drives.
Ran "Fantastic" with Elite and X52 Pro under Win 8.1 and then I upgraded :-(
I have run several drives all advised by Saitek and forums on line.
Even "Without" unplugging the joy stick I would have a random crash, PC would lock up and forced power down reboot would ensue.
I thought the SSD would save me.... Alas no....
Corrupted files on scan, Elite wont launch and another re install this time a fresh install of Win 10
Note of caution !!! If you install Win 10 "Only" not an upgrade, you will have a missing Dll file XINPUT1_3.dll the best way
to resolve this is installing old DirectX Drives here ... http://www.microsoft.com/en-in/download/details.aspx?id=8109 June 2010 version
Win 10 "Does not have" the Xinput_3.dll only the version 4
So back to my brand new gaming machine Saitek have messed up with Pi55 Poor drivers
I have now re installed everything and re setup DirectX and elite and Office and Photoshop and NVidia drivers and, and , and
I HAVE NOT installed the Saitek drives, I have lost some functionality on the X52 pro but this is better than trashing a new gaming machine !
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.........
