Has anyone been playing this on their iPad?
It reminds me a lot of Elite, with warpgates playing the role of hyperspace jumps between star clusters. The aims the same, to trade between the stars and amass money and reputation.
Graphics are very good and gameplay is fast with lots of missions, back story, pirates, factions, ship and weapon upgrades etc..
Trading is very similar with a reduced trade item selection but retaining Elites news updates for extra missions or trading coups.
The only drawback is the combat is not as good as Elite's. But then the graphics do make up for it.
Best of all it is fast loading which is great for a quick dip into it.
The iPad has booted and loaded the game before my quadcore reaches the win7 loading screen.....
I believe theres also an iPhone version available .
