Warrant Scanner question

I understand that if installed, one can scan a ship conventionally and utilize the warrant scanner at the same time. My question is:
When I utilize the warrant scanner and find someone that is wanted in the present system but is wanted somewhere else. Do I get in trouble if I destroy them by anyone else who happens to be there that doesn't have a warrant scanner thus can't see that they are wanted else where.

Did some research on google and answered my own question.
"attacking a ship that is not Wanted in the current system is illegal in policed systems"

Yeah, you don't need a warrant scanner but you must always check wanted status before opening fire. (Target and keep your nose on the ship while the passive scan happens) And do this even if you checked in supercruise and interdicted the ship, you need to re-do an establishing scan. The warrant scanner adds a bonus, and checks if there any bounties on the ship issued by other jurisdictions. Even if there are though, it is illegal to fire on the ship in area of a faction where he's not wanted. o7

The KWS gets you approx 30% extra bounty money. That's all it does. It's certainly worth using one if you're bounty farming.

You can make it automatic by binding the secondary fire button to a key at the edge of the keyboard, then set up fire groups so that it's the only thing on that trigger in all fire groups. In any new instance, place a weight on the key and forget about the KWS. It'll scan automatically any ship you have targeted. Note, that your weight will need to be reset if you type anything in the comma panel or anywhere else. Just lift it up and drop it back down. A C-cell is about the right size and weight.

I don't need the extra 30% nor does it sound to be of any real usefulness unless as you stated, one wants to do some bounty farming. If I could destroy ships wanted in a different system other than the one I'm in with out any impunity; That would make it worth while. According to what I've now read and the retorts here. I reckon I will not be installing it.

I have a KWS set to primary fire, when in Res Sites and shooting wanted ships and auto scanning yielded in the region of 100k worth of secondary bounties. may not seem alot, but it is credits you would not have earned, and every easy credit that comes along is always welcome on my balance sheet.
