Warthog HOTAS Deadzones.

Is there a way to set Deadzones for my HOTAS without using a TARGET profile? Target is a big load of buggy crap and I don´t want to use it.

It's not stupidity, though. E: D is massive, with a huge number of different options. I've played thousands of hours since beta, and it was only this year that I discovered that I could set the SRV to default to Drive Assist off. For years I'd been toggling it off every time I deployed (and sometimes forgetting). :D

If you have begun the deadzoning spiral, it's time to start saving for a new stick, or gimbal at least. If I had a Warthog with a dying gimbal, I'd get a Virpil to toss it on.

The deadzone will slowly grow . . .

No stupidity, it happens! ^_^
There's so many controls and options for setups that's easy to miss stuff.

Glad you sorted it out. Have fun!

Is that a symptom of a dying Warthog stick ? I know it spells the end of a T16k..

My T16K is doing this a little, and the trigger is wonky. It double clicks quite often and then doesn't do anything at times. This is common for the T16K. They last a couple years max. I'm on my 3rd.

That's just the Dorito/Cheeto dust settling. Put some plastic wrap over the HOTAS when you snack. My T16k is on it's 3rd yr without incident. My waistline has grown, but my Deadzones are stable.

It's the beginning of the end of any gimbal. Only gimbals I know of that don't wear out are metal ones ala VKB/Virpil, NXT are too new to tell. CH Fighter and Warthog are the next best in terms of lifespan.

lol

No I clean mine regularly. I have even disassembled it and tried to correct the issue but eventually I found it's easier to just get a new one. The same with the throttle, I've adjusted, lubricated.. cleaned and all.. it still sticks on the rails. It's mid-tier HOTAS, can't expect too much I suppose but I'll be damned if I am going to drop that much on a Warthog setup (but they are nice).

Cheeto dust can get a Warthog too ya know...

Yup, I have a limit to how much I will drop, at once, on games and gear. That has more to do with my CFO, than my frugality.

There isn't anything out there, that I'd spend on, between where the T16k and the next step up. There was a time when I lusted for the Saitek stuff, but a short investigation found them lacking.
