Hardware & Technical Warthog joystick help

after about 1800 hrs the joystick seems to be developing some new features - the "neutral" return position has developed a lot of play and when resting my hand on the stick it now slips into a roll, like there are 2 home positions - one a left roll, the other a pitch and right roll - with no real feel for the neutral position anymore. I've watched the complete disassembly on youtube and the O-ring looks easy. I'm sure I could get the gimbal apart, but I wouldn't want to bet on getting it back together. Does this sound like a O-ring prblm or should I be looking for a replacement stick?, $300 a pop for a stick is a bit steep.

It's a pricey stick, to be sure, I'd try and have a crack at whatever repair may be suggested by those in the know. However, if you were to replace the unit, instead of another Warthog, keep the grip, and buy a Virpil Mongoos, or the upcoming WarBRD. Much better gimbal, easy to repair, and generally a better quality product as it's all metal construction - the Warthog gimbal is actually plastic. The Warthog uses the same connector as the Virpil line, and it just plugs and plays.

I use my Warthog grip in my Mongoos Base. It's awesome, and way more smooth.
