Warthog Questions and best profile for VR?

Just bought a Vive, so figured I had better get the HOTAS Warthog as well.
It arrived today, I downloaded the TARGET but not drivers as I read it is plug and play.

1st question then is, do I need to download the drivers?

2nd question, the throttles are lit up like a green christmas tree! can I have both the stick and the throttles connected to the same USB2 port via a switchable usb hub so I can turn them off when I am not using them?

3rd question, should I use TARGET?, is there an ideal ready made profile for the Warthog that suits VR play and if so, how do I get it and install it?

As for playing in VR, I haven't played ED for quite a while so am worried about losing my Asp playing on a normal monitor, never mind first time in VR!
Any hints or tips?, I cannot remember if you can play two games, so I could start again until I get the hang of it without losing what I already have,

Cheers all!

Assuming you're using windows, it should do it by itself.

It should work, however I didn't try it myself.

Imho, you should absolutely use target. Certain functions like the dual-stage primary trigger or making full use of the switches won't work without it and it's a boon for ED. There are plenty of scripts around for ED but I can't recommend one because I've always found making my own easier to memorise.

Fly small ships (Eagles, Vipers) to get back in. Very forgiving if you lose them due to low rebuy and lots of fun in VR. I've flown an Anaconda for almost two years but now fly the small ships on a regular basis to save me from unlearning basic piloting.

And get decent pedals if you don't already have them.
