Engineers Wartime missions

So there are these new 'wartime' salvage missions that claim to have an influence on the war. Previously only combat actions influenced war and, in fact, I remember the influence bar did not move for non-combat missions; now these missions in fact move the bar up. Anyone noticed if conflict is actually influenced?

I'd say its far too early to tell, but the mission itself will tell you its impact once you have completed it.

No, the only effect reported is "XXXX are experienced increased growth that could lead to an economic boom". But the influence bar has an up arrow, something I remember did not happen in 2.0.

In which case it seems likely that these don't directly effect the outcome of the war....but can't say for sure.

Ehm, from what Sentenza says it *does* influence it. Wars are ultimately decided by the influence bar, and if it changes due to these missions the missions are having an effect.

Adding to the "boom state bucket" seems odd but maybe they haven't scripted separate descriptions for each thing that affects influence.
