I was wondering if anywhere it is mentioned in Elite lore when Mars was first colonized.

Later than that. Certainly after World War III of 2040 also multiple attempts at terraforming failed if I recall correctly.

I just watched the interview VT of the British candidates.


MODs please report this thread to the police it seems like a scam to get people to kickstart a project that has no hope of occurring it is stealing money it must be a crime.

Please tell social services about these people. at least one of them is on the verge of suicide without this mars nonsense.

I'm only half joking, this is seriously worrying watch the VT interviews!

I actually had a look at the Mars One website.

It seems incredibly ambitious as a project, but I also read that they will all die after 68 days....

its a one way ticket either way, but good luck. the world needs more ambitious projects like this!

At lunch today and therefore whilst sober and hopefully more reasonable. I was in the bar near work having a meal. One of our group was a lawyer, we discussed this and she said that this will never happen as it would not be suicide it would corporate manslaughter and if the organisers risked prison. When asked if it was a fraud she said that it might be but would be difficult to prove if it was sold as a social experiment.
