Was talking to some people about mining with the SRV and they laughed a lot, so here's how to fix that

OK mining surface ores with the SRV is fun, I think, and I like mining that way. BUT you devs seem to have built a box to block anyone who thinks that way. If Engineering materials are needed so badly...why cant we sell the ones we mine? It literally makes no sense. I asked a bunch of people about this and their answers ranged from laughter to sadness. even saying the entire Engineering section was 'poorly thought out' or needs scrapped. I think it can be fixed. Firstly make selling the Engineering materials the same as other resources. Make a separate slot in the trade menu for 'Engineering Materials' and then list them all. Whatever can be mined will be used either for their own uses, or like me, sold on the market, and believe me many people are crying because they dont want to stop their game just to gather ores and suck up to a Engineer to get an upgrade, so make the blueprints many get sellable too. they can farm Engineers and sell the Blue prints on the market, making a lot of people happy both ways. Upgrades get a little easier to find and some people can mine moons and planets to sell the ores to people looking for upgrades. Its a finished marketing loop, from raw materials all the way to finished products and blueprints for the market again. Make the blue prints limited use maybe 5 times then gone...and its a loop that will last forever.

Thanks no. Gathering time limits usage of weapon boosts etc. So if they can buy mats they will use always boosted weapons. Which will have consequences - too easy mobs, too easy pvp kills etc.
Thargoid dies in 5 second shooted by boosted weapons. This means 8 mils per 5 second farm. And it is only limited by laziness now, as I don't want to spend days on gathering mats.

so dont, let others do it for you, people need to make a living here too, even lesser newer people who dont have high powered high level weapons. to even get one we'd need months of working and as you say laziness is the only thing stopping others from doing this, so let them. if you dont like things too easy...dont use them...simple as that.

If the SRV did not handle like a drunkard i would say sure, but it hadles so horribly doing anything to any level of precisions, well, i would rather take a bullet.

I disagree entirely, the SRV handles great, you are often traveling at over 100kph so expecting precision across rough ground is a bit wishful thinking!
