Was there a ship that stopped the upgrade chain for you?

I think most people (including me so far) just keep upgrading ships everytime they can afford the next step up. Was there any ship for you that you just fell in love with and settled on?

I'll be in the Anaconda until Panther Clipper comes out. Probably convert my old ship into an exploration vessel when that happens.

Stepped into a T7 from my Asp. Felt like walking out of a Ferrari into a Bus. Swiftly sold it and back in my Asp.

i find smuggling fun so i love the cobra because even when i do get scanned/fined/wanted i can just wave the bird and haul ass away.....

/wondering if smuggling in clipper any fun on a ferdi lance id have the same amount of cargo space for a bigger ship and in my profession the point of the guns is to get the person to back off not obliterate them.

I don't know if that's what you're looking for and some do consider it an "endgame" ship (mostly due to a lack of several other bigger/more expensive/more powerful/whatever ships), but I didn't leave my Python although I could buy an Anaconda and I don't like the FdL enough to replace it. As I'm doing pure combat some would consider this the next step. Although I think they're the same "class" of ships with different strength and weaknesses.

The ship which makes me leave would most likely be some kind of combat version of an Anaconda depending on how it is designed and if it would feel like the Pythons' big brother. If it would be a gunship with 4x C4 but turn even worse than a T9, then probably not ^^

I've bought a Python, FDL and a Clipper and for the sole purpose of PvE bounty hunting, I prefer the Vulture. It's what I spend about 90% of my in game time doing, and I like it's agility and ability to quickly dispatch NPCs. NPC spawn rate doesn't occur quickly enough to warrant a more powerful ship, and flying through most asteroid laden RESs almost requires a maneuverable, agile, and smaller ship.

I never sold my Viper and I still crack it out from time to time. I love that thing =).

I just sold my Asp explorer because the sale for Faulcon De Lacey Ships (community Zaonce event) is on so I wanted funds to buy a python, but I know in my heart I will put her back together again. The Asp is one hell of a ship.

Asp. Went to the Imperial Clipper but had to go back, missed my 33+ LY range and ability to land at any station I wanted to. Imperial Courier might change my thinking here though, depending on how it turns out.

Well , I wanted to be a viper pilot for ever... but I went and got a vulture. I don't believe there is a ''upgrade chain'' but rather some high tech ships that have massive perks. take viper vs vulture one is a low tech ship the other modern , so it makes sens that the modern one is better but it also looses speed and hard points for bigger guns and agility...

Also war is coming so I had to upgrade that and... I dont trust the artifact

Stopped at Vulture. Don't feel any other class after that is useful for a combat pilot (or fun because of lack of manuverability).

Not planning to use FDL until the give C4 mount some real weapons.

Nearly was the Python for me but woke up one day and decided I should work my way up to the Anaconda as I'd enjoyed it in Beta and that's my 90% ship now. I still have a Python and Asp for the other 10%. :)

Clipper so far... I don't see myself going to any of the more expensive ships because I love the speed and nimbleness of the Clipper and I know I'll miss it. It may not be the strongest ship, but it's more than strong enough for my PvE needs and amazingly versatile. I may buy the new Imperial Courier to test it. It looks fast and it's multirole so I think I'll like it.

The FDL. I have had enough for a Python for a while now, and was tempted again by the Zaonce discount, but don't really feel the need to swap anymore. I might try it later when that 10% sale penalty makes simply taking one for a test flight less of a loss :).

My climb to the top has been slow, but I often take my time in games. So far, I haven't met a ship I'd be willing to settle for. Starting with a free Eagle was nice, but still didn't hold up well enough for combat or exploration. Got the Viper, but again it was not fit for my demands. Then I got the Cobra and stuck with it for quite a while. It was advanced enough to give me more of an edge in combat and it made it possible for me to travel further into the deep. But it still wasn't quite enough. I tried a Type 6, but I didn't find it fit for anything other than trading. Now, I have an Asp. Even though it can be better equipped than the previous ships I owned (and its more fit for combat than the Type 6), it feels too sluggish and clunky for combat. The next ship I want to get my hands on is the Vulture, but I'll probably still want something bigger and more powerful.

So, in short, there's no ship I've been able to settle on. For now, I prefer the Cobra in combat, and the Asp for exploration and missions. I don't doubt that'll change in the coming months :)

Yeah it is the Clipper for me.
Love my Python, but the Clipper is what I spend all my time in.
Has more firepower than the Vulture, nearly as much Cargo as the Yak7, and it's second fastest ship in the current universe.
Down side is no Outpost landings.

As with many here, Clipper.
Its the first ship where I stopped and said, no I'm not selling this one. I will buy instead of trading in from now on.
