Washed out colors after last driver update

I updated my NVidia drivers the other day and now I've got washed out colors and grey space. It looked beautiful before the update. Colors were good, space was black.
How can I get my image quality back? I tried reinstalling the drivers using the clean option, but it made no difference.

Hi :)
go back to nVidia website..run a manual search for your gaphix card and OS

http://www.geforce.co.uk/drivers#start-search

tell the search to Show All previous drivers

good advice is NOT to use Geforce Experience to optimise 'cos in general it doesnt do it properly.. most players use ingame manual settings.

Save the download drivers to somewhere before you install them.. that way you have a backup,, again I found windows rollback doesnt work
(I save all my drivers onto another drive in a folder called Tools and Stuff .. )

do a clean install and untick the Experience in the selection box..
I dont have VR or multiple screens so I dont install any of the 3d drivers.. only the core drivers/HDMI driver and the physX driver.

After any upgrade its also a good idea to reboot PC.

I have a gtx970 watercooled hybrid.. decent card still using ver368.22

hope that helps and good luck :)

Well I downloaded the older driver and installed it using the clean option. No change. Still looking at bland washed out colors and dull grey space. It was looking great prior to that update! This is sad. It looks like if I had access to contrast and color saturation levels I'd be able to manually make the necessary adjustments to get it looking great again. :(

I know of an issue, that happend with TVs connected via HDMI... they did not use the full color range. You had to set it manually in the NVidia settings to use the full range, meaning black got black, deep shadows and such stuff. As i have my Rift only for 4 days, i expect, that i use the same driver, but have nothing to compare. I will search myself, if i can find such settings.

Washed out colours... wow I wish that was the only problem I had with the latest NVIDIA drivers

Also, double check your head tracking camera is detected and not blocked. That can do it too, but its intentional so you know when camera tracking is lost.

Go to your Nvidia control panel, Resolution and set the output dynamic range to Full.

Neveser..sorry to hear you arent having much luck.
Ive never really had any issues wi nvidia drivers except some Beta drivers I installed didnt work
I did have a radeon at one time and I had more problems wi that card than any of my nvdia's.

EVGA WEBSITE has almost the same list of drivers as the nvdia geforce site..I wouldnt advise trying any Beta drivers.. but then again maybe
youd have better luck wi those.

I set up my monitor first of all.. play a dvd in widescreen mode to get the black borders top and bottom.. adjust brightness/contrast controls to get movie-black almost similar to the border-black..that way I have a black-on-screen-base-line so to speak.

then I can adjust ingame brightness/contrast to suit.

In E:D I dont use any of the colour enhancement tools Ive seen being talked about.. EDFX??..
I tried it once but felt it was washing out the colours :)

Hope you solve it soon

 That was it!!! Wow, I had no idea that would happen. My tracking was fine so I had no clue. A little text message alert would be much more informative than messing up your display!

Thanks Andy!
