I think it depends on the person's playstyle. Some people would have the skill to use these to their advantage. They're not ideal for PvE, methinks...
Yeah for sure, I dont think anyone would really need it for NPC's, they're easy enough. I guess these would be targeted towards slower trade vessels in the first place. It would be more effective if the canister was more of a cannon, but thatd also use up hardpoints. I'm just thinking once you move ahead of somebody to deploy the canister, any pilot would just change course. Or maybe theyll think youre trying to race them lol.
I'm hoping they don't do too much. I don't want to see a must have game breaking up grade. game bending is good but breaking is bad. I know some people already belive some of these effects are game breaking because they change basic principles, looking at you phasing beam, but I think any tears I shed will be tears of joy.

we know about one cargo mod, will there be others?
Well Point Defense is already a thing so the Torpedoes could be easily taken care of, so maybe more traders will start using those. I mean if anything these will only create more diversity in loadouts which in all I think is a good thing.
